Once the kingpins were removed and cleaned we decided that even though they looked like they were in great condition that it was best to pull them apart to check the bushings inside. |

Once we had the kingpins apart, we found out that we were correct, they were in great condition and all we did was POR-15 them and replace the thrust bearing. |

As ugly as the frame was a day or two before it cleaned up nicely. The entire frame was sandblasted. The only prep work done was to duct tape off the spindle where the brake pedal attaches. |
| The rear springs were also sandblasted. We will also install two additional leaves to compensate for the 40 years of sag. | ![]() |
