Body Prep
Phase One

Now that the majority of the frame and suspension work is complete we're turning out attention to the body. The body is actually in pretty decent shape with only a few minor rust spots that shouldn't be that difficult to repair. The photos show a stockpile of the major body parts which will be sandblasted. Since the sandblaster charges by the hour, we decided to save some expense by removing the known bondo repairs. |

There were the usual repairs done
to the front fenders below the vent doors. There was also a spot
of bondo on the rear driver's side fender. The bondo was removed
by using a propane torch to heat up the bondo and a heavy duty scraper
to clean out the repair area. The next phase will be to take all of the parts to the sandblaster. |
